This is Toby! He is a 1 year old Chihuahua. He weighs 5 pounds and is full grown. He is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccinations. He is house trained but does not like the crate. He is good with adults and other dogs. Toby is a typical small chihuahua and will nip if someone reaches too quickly for him. Due to his breed and small size he should go to a home with children over the age of 13. Toby needs an experienced chihuahua owner so that they understand his behavior. Toby will need a patient owner as it will take him a while to warm up - once he bonds though he will truly love you! He loves to play and would enjoy a home with another dog. He is an active guy but also enjoys sitting on your lap. He came to us from a local shelter. As do all young dogs, he would benefit from attending an obedience class to help him with basic commands, learning house rules, and for socialization. He is looking for his forever home and will make someone a great new family member. His adoption fee is $200. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
