This is Dexter! He is a 5 year old Dachshund mix. He weighs about 20 pounds and is full grown. He is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on vaccinations. He is house trained. Dexter is crated during the day but not a huge fan of the crate. He is a friendly guy that is good with people, children, and other dogs. He is a very active guy and needs a home with play time and daily exercise. He knows several commands and tricks. He enjoys riding in the car and sleeping under a blanket. Being a Doxie mix he does like to bark at new things. He came to us when his owner felt he had too much energy for her lifestyle. He is looking for his forever home and will make someone a great new family member. His adoption fee is $150. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
