Meet Tonto!! He is a 13 week old Chihuahua puppy. Tonto currently weighs about 3 pounds and could be somewhere in the area of 6 pounds when full grown. He will be neutered, de-wormed, micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations for his age, started on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. While working on house training he is a puppy and this will take further work. Tonto is a very sweet puppy that gets along with other dogs, cats and older kids. Keep in mind that as a puppy he has very sharp little teeth which find little fingers the perfect size to nibble on. Due to his very small size he will need to go to home with children 12 or older. Chihuahuas and small children are not a good combination. He does have lots of energy and will need a yard and daily play time. He came into our rescue with his litter mate. He is looking for his forever home dedicated to making him a family member and not just a pet. Tonto has a ton of love to give and will be a loyal addition to some lucky family. Like all puppies, he would benefit from attending an obedience class to help his with basic commands, for overall socialization and to assist with teaching him good household behavior. His adoption fee is $400. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
