Basset Hound : : Female (spayed) Learn more about the Basset Hound.
Daisy Mae is a five year old full blooded bassett hound.
She was rescued from a amish farm where she was kept in a 4x5x9 horse
stall with five other male dogs. She has had a litter of puppies every
year since she was nine months old. She had her last litter in April
and they where all premature and didn't make it, therefor the owners
didn't want her because she was no longer able to make them money.
Since she has been in foster care she has become a dog again. She is
learning how to be a dog since she never had the chance to be one. She
is very sweet and loves to be around everyone. She does great with all
people and animals. She is a snuggler and aims to please. She is easily
scared and timid when someone yells. When she is excited she does a
happy dance that reminds you of a seal as she bobs up and down. She
loves to run and go for rides in the car. She loves little kids and is
very gentle with them. She treats them as they where her own. She still
has a few accidents every now and again since she was never a house
dog. But being its May she has come a long way in a month of being
house broke. The adoption fee is $150.00. This fee includes the cost of the spay or
neuter surgery; current DHLPP, Kennel Cough, and Rabies (if old enough)
vaccinations; heartworm test (if old enough), heartworm prevention,
flea/tick prevention treatment, and de-worming treatment. She will go
home with a collar, leash, ID tag, training DVD, and vaccination
record. If you would like to adopt this very special K-9 kid, complete
