Yellow Labrador Retriever : : Male (neutered)
Meet Deke, he is a wonderful boy who is shy at first, but then
affectionate and laid back. He loves to take a stroll on the leash and
also enjoys playing fast with other dogs. He likes to nuzzel people he
gets to know and he loves his ears and belly rubbed. Deke will fetch
and "drop it" immediately when asked. He has gotten along very well
with large, medium and small kids as he is very gentle, not hyper and
he does not jump up. (except on the back door when he wants in) He is
interested in cats, but leaves them be and won't even look at them if
told to "leave it". Deke is a breeder surrender as he has a level 2
heart murmer and although that may not mean any trouble for him as he
ages, it does make him unsuitable for breeding. He weighs about 75
pounds and could easily be 85 to 90 pounds when he is done growing, he
will be a year old at the end of June.The adoption fee is $250.00. The
adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with
current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough
and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when
neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm
testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as
well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the
rescue.
He will go home with a collar, leash, tag, training DVD, and
