Cosmo is believed to be a 5 month old Jack Russell Terrier and Labrador Retriever mix puppy. We know that his mother was a 45 pound yellow lab mix.
He weighs 22 pounds and could be 45 pounds when full grown.
He is neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed and up to date on puppy vaccinations.
He is working hard on house training and does very well if kept on a schedule. He is crate trained and will sleep all night with no problem.
He is an active puppy and will need a yard, daily walks and play time to expend his energy. He would do best with a fenced yard as he does have a very strong prey drive.
He is good with people and children but we are recommending children 8 and older as he does jump up on you and will playfully chase a young child. We are working on these behaviors. He is good with other dogs and loves to play. He also likes chew toys.
He does know several basic commands like sit, down, off, come and shh. He is working on walking on a leash.
He is very much an alert pup. He hears and sees everything and will chase and/or bark at anything new.
He would benefit greatly from attending an obedience class to help him with basic commands, good household manners and overall socialization.
He will make someone a wonderful companion and is looking for a forever home.
The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
