Meet Shadow!! He is believed to be a German Shepherd. Shadow is 4 years old years old and is a wonderful dog. He came to our rescue when his owner could no longer care for him. Shadow is a very special dog with a great deal of potential. He has a great nose and loves to search and find things. Shadow loves to play ball and fetch. Shadow is a classic shepherd in that he would like to be in charge, but he lacks the confidence to be a good leader. He is a big boy and some may be intimidated by his stature, but he is a love bug. Shadow knows who he can manipulate and he does best with a confident leader. He is a brilliant dog and very loyal. He appears to be very sensitive to human emotion and may make a great therapy or visiting dog. Shadow is 100% house trained and will pace or go to the door when he needs to go out. He has proved that he is trustworthy and is left out in his foster home at all times, even when the people are away. He is walking very well on a leash with daily walks at his foster home., He is such a great dog and will make a wonderful addition to a home with or without another dog and he is curious about cats, but has not threatened or harmed his foster kitty siblings, although he barks at them, he will quiet when he is shushed. The adoption fee is $200.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, tag, training DVD, and vaccination record.
