Meet Captain!! His mother is German Shepherd mix. Captain came to the rescue with his sister! It is believed that he is mixed with st bernard or great pyrenees. These babies are just now 8 weeks old and are already big puppies. They will be large dogs when full grown. This fact needs to be considered before adopting. Being a puppy, Captain will get along with other dogs, cats and kids. Captain is very much a puppy and will need the proper puppy training. He has very sharp, needle like teeth and will bite little fingers. He also has very sharp claws that will strach when he jumps up. All these behaviors can be modified and Captain taught not to bite and jump but it takes lots of time, love, patience, and perserverience. He benefit greatly from obedience training to learn to be a good family member. Captain needs a family who understands the trials and tribulations of puppyhood and will commit to seeing him through it. The adoption fee is $250.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
