Meet Scooby!! Scooby is a loving 5-year-old Doberman-Greyhound mix. He is very intelligent and eager to please and would make a good companion for someone without cats. He has a strong prey drive and has killed a couple of cats. This does not seem to be a trait that can be trained out of him. He is very healthy and does NOT have separation anxiety. He is fine and quiet when left alone in the house and is not destructive. He does have lots of energy and gets a 20-30 min. off-leash walk every day, plus time in his large fenced-in back yard. He gets along well with the dog he is living with, but does not get along with all dogs. He has some fear aggression with some dogs -- he will charge and bark, then back off; he does not bite. He is obedient and comes when he is called. He sleeps on his own bed in the bedroom and is quiet all night. Scooby has had 2 TPLO surgeries on his knees (Nov. '06: right knee, Nov.'07: left knee). We call him the $4000 dog, so his legs are in very good shape now. Our hope is to find a loving, safe home (with a fenced in yard) for Scooby with kind and patient people who have no cats or small children. He is absolutely beautiful! Scooby loves people, and is very loyal! He knows all of his basic commands and does well on a leash. He will be required to be the ONLY pet in a home. He will make a great addition to the right family! Scooby is up to date on all his vaccinations including DHLPP, Rabies, and Kennel Cough. He is neutered and on both heartworm and flea/tick prevention. He will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
