Sophia’s story is just beginning.
Sophia came to us from an Amish breeder and is learning—often for the very first time—what it means to simply be a dog. She is a gentle, sweet soul who is working hard every day to feel more comfortable around people and in new situations.

You can see it in her eyes: she wants the affection, she wants to play, and she truly wants to be part of a family. She’s just still unsure of the world and needs time to build confidence. Sophia can be skittish, but with patience, consistency, and lots of love, we are confident she will continue to come out of her shell. Creating a calm, safe environment where she always feels secure is key for her.

The good news? Sophia is fully potty trained and crate trained, and she absolutely loves other dogs. They are her best teachers, so a confident canine companion would be ideal for her. Because she startles easily, a securely fenced yard is a must, and a quieter home without small children would be the best fit for her sensitive nature.

Sophia may need time—but for the right family, she will be so worth it. She’s ready for someone who sees her potential and is willing to let her bloom at her own pace.
