Meet Sammy!! She is a stunning, 11 month old St. Bernard/Collie mix puppy. She currently weighs about 75 pounds and is going to be a very, very large dog. Full grown, Sammy very well may tip the scale at 100 pounds. Sammy came into our rescue from a local shelter where she was surrendered by her owner. Sammy is exceptionally sweet, smart, and very eager to please. She has had very little structure and needs to learn to be a good family member. Sammy will take a very loving, patient home who understands she is a large puppy. She make look full grown, but she is still a baby. Sammy will greatly benefit from obedience training. Sammy needs to be adopted by someone who has previously owned or has knowledge on large breed dogs. Sammy is a very large puppy who has no idea of her size. She needs to learn boudaries, rules and limitations. She is VERY affectionate and loves attention. She has the very typical St. Bernard lean. Sammy is excellent with cats. She gets along great with other dogs, she is a bit pushy with some other dogs. Sammy LOVES everyone, including children. We have had Sammy spayed, heartworm tested, given all of her vaccinations including DHLPP and Bordetella, rabies, and have started her on heartworm/flea and tick prevention. She is completely house and crate trained. Due to her extremely large size, Sammy can only go to a home with children 10 and older. She will make some family a great furry family member!! The adoption fee is $150.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
