Meet Scruffy!! He is a Yorkie mix. Scruffy is about 5 years old, and weighs about 8 pounds. Scruffy is a wonderful little guy but has a very, very high energy level typical in the Yorkie breed! He is friendly, and loves attention. He loves to play and run. Scruffy will benefit greatly from obedience training and socialization. He is house trained but does have accidents, also very common of Yorkies. Scruffy is crate trained. Scruffy gets along great with other dogs. He does not do well with young kids, young children have proven to be too much for Scruffy. Scruffy walks well on a leash leash but continued work and training is necessary. Scruffy will require daily walks or exercise to expend some of his energy. He will make someone a great little furry member!! Because of his small size, he will need to go to a family with children 12 years or older. Most toy and small breed dogs do not do well with young children. The adoption fee is $200.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
