Meet Lily!! She is a stunning, Greyhound/Whippet mix. She currently weighs about 54 pounds. Lily was found running across I-69 on January 4th of this year. A young lady stopped to get gas and lunch. As she did she watched Lily on tip toes trying to get food from the trash cans, and begging every person that walked in to the gas station for help. The young lady called to Lily, this poor emaciated dog turned and ran to her. She wolfed down the sandwich I was eating and jumped happily into the passenger seat next of her car. Lily loves cats, cuddles up and even tries to play with a horse. She's terrified of thunder storms and isn't sure of other dogs. She is not aggressive but is dog reactive. She will approach another dog, take a stand. She has never growled, curled a lip or bit another dog. She does this to intimidate other dogs. She's just such a sweet dog. She can sit, shake, lay down. She is completely house trained. She has been with small children and is wonderful with them. When found Lily weighed 32 pounds, now she weighes a strapping 54 pounds! Lily will greatly benefit from obedience training to learn boundaries, rules and limitations. She will also greatly benefit from daily walks and socialization. Lily has now been spayed, heartworm tested, given all of her vaccinations including DHLPP and Bordetella, rabies, and have started her on heartworm/flea and tick prevention. She will make some family a great furry family member!! The adoption fee is $150.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
