Meet Stella! She is a Border Collie mix. Stella is about 2 years old and came to our rescue as an owner surrender. Stella is very typical of a Border Collie, she has lots of energy to run and play. She is incredibly smart and learns things very quickly. Stella does require daily exercise to expend some of her Border Collie energy. Just look at her sweet face! Stellla is completely house and crate trained. Stella gets along with other dogs but is an alpha female. She has been with cats and children. In very typical Border Collie fashion, Stella nips at the heels of small children, herding them the way her instinct directs her to. This is very common of Borders as it is an instinct for the breed. She is more typical of a BC personality, and wants to be busy all the time. She would be best suited to a household that is more active, and the family wanted a pet that is eager to play or work. She LOVES to be outdoors. The adoption fee is $150.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, tag, training DVD, and vaccination record.
