Meet Hero!! He is a beautiful, approx 7 month old, purebred Akita. He currently weighs about 65 pounds, and could reach 95 pounds when full grown. Hero came into our rescue from a local shelter where he was surrendered by his owner. Hero was purchased from a Pet Store. He has had very little structure and is learning to be a good family member. He will benefit greatly from obedience training. He is currently learning boudaries, rules and limitations in his foster home and is doing beautifully!! He is VERY affectionate, outgoing dog who loves attention. Hero gets along great with other dogs, cats and kids. He is house and crate trained. Hero needs work on walking on a leash as he will pull. Hero will need to go to a home who is familiar with the Akita breed. He will make the right family a great furry family member!! The adoption fee is $250.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
