Meet Smokey!! He is a beautiful, smart purebred Weimaraner. Smokey is a wonderful dog but does have an extremely high prey drive. He is quite the hunter of squirrels, woodchucks, etc. Smokey does have a dominent personality, and does challenge authority. He will need a strong pack leader who will not be manipulated. Smokey is extemely smart, learns quickly, and very much wants to please. BUT, he will test the acceptable boundaries every chance he gets. He has so much love to give and does so freely. Smokey is happy sitting next to you but also enjoys playing with his toys or chewy stick. Smokey does very well walking on a leash, he is completely house and crate trained. He gets along all people, and other large dogs. Again, he is a dominant large dog so he wants to be in charge of other dogs, and a very high prey drive. He will make a great, very active, fun loving family pet. Smokey will benefit greatly from obedience training. He will require daily walks to expend his energy. The adoption fee is $250.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, tag, training DVD, and vaccination record.
