Meet Dex! He is believed to be a Hound mix estimated by the vet to be around 6 months old. Dex weighs about 35 pounds and could be about 40 pounds full grown. Dex came to our rescue from a high kill shelter in Kentucky. He was graciously flown here by Pilots & Paws. He is very sweet and full of energy - ready to play!! Dex is house and crate trained. He does well with adults, children and other dogs. He is friendly, active and loves to be petted! Dex rides well in the car. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash but continued work is needed. Dex will benefit greatly from obedience training to establish much needed rules, boundaries, and limitations at home it will also help make him a better family member. He will make someone a great active small furry family member! His adoption fee is $200. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
