Meet Sawyer! He came into our rescue from a local farm with six of his siblings. Sawyer is believed to be a Black Lab Mix, mom is a pure bred black lab and we are unsure of Dad's breed. He could have been a shepherd or Great Pyreneese. Sawyer's right eye looks a bit cloudy. We took him to the vet and he determined that the eye was punctured at some point but it is healing. The vet feels that Sawyer has some sight and it could improve or it could remain the same. He is in no pain and no further treatment is needed. He currently weighs about 15 pounds and could be about 65-70 pounds full grown. He is absolutely adorable, very sweet, full of energy and ready to play!! As with all puppies, Sawyer has very sharp, needle like teeth that find little fingers and toes of small children very fun to nibble on. He is working on house and crate training. As with all puppies, Sawyer will benefit greatly from attending puppy training for both good socialization and to begin establishing much needed rules, boundaries, and limitations in the home. He will make someone a great but active furry family member! His adoption fee is $300. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
