I'm Gretchen and I need help! I am a 2 year old Boxer mix and weigh about 55 pounds. I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped. I am looking for someone who wants some protection. I bond very quickly with one person and I will make sure that person is always safe when they are with me, whether we are at home or on a walk. No human or animal will mess with you when we are together. I am fully house trained and when I'm left at home while you are at work, all I do is sleep. When you get home from work, I will be so happy and excited to see you that I will start jumping and try to give you hugs and kisses. I am the best hugger you will ever meet. No dog will ever make you feel as loved as I will. My problem is that I make really bad first impressions. I do not trust people so I like to try to make them scared of me so they stay away from us. Most people try to greet me by putting their hand in my face. I am not ok with that and I will let them know. I will get used to your friends and family being around if you introduce me the right way and tell them to ignore me until I am comfortable with them. Then they will love me too! Right now I am in a foster home with 4 dogs and I get along with all of them, but that also took some time. But keep in mind that I'm super cute and I sneeze and jump backwards when I want to play and I'm great at fetching and bringing back toys. Gretchen probably hasn't been around children and she would do best in home without kids as she doesn't seem comfortable with children and commotion. Gretchen's adoption fee is $200. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
